Dr. Vernon knows how to do more than most other Dentists..
I highly do not recommend going to this dentist I had a horrible experience. I went in on a Sunday with a horrible toothache and I specifically told the dentist What tooth it was that was in pain and I was touching and pointing to the bad tooth I wanted pulled and he pulled the wrong tooth it was like he did it on purpose he didn't even tap the teeth to see if they were tender. He pulled a good tooth that was next to the bad tooth and he sent me home. After a while I realized I was still in pain and and Called him up and told him I was still in pain. And he told me to come back then finally pulled the bad tooth I originally wanted pulled. And he still charged me a bunch of money for pulling a tooth I didn't even want pulled in the first place. He didn't even apologize. Now I can't even smile anymore because I Now have a huge gap in my teeth. Honestly I would have been better off pulling the tooth myself and could have saved time and money. Another thing that bothered me was he was trying to get me to go to church the whole time while I'm sitting there in horrible pain and he was a bit nosey asking about my personal life and was asking about my church records and stuff. It was an overall horrible Experience and I will never go to this dentist ever again in my life.
I decided to seek out a second opinion immediately, and I'm lucky I did. I have a massive infection that nearly put me in the hospital. By the following morning it had spread up around my eye and down to my neck - and that was after 12 hours on antibiotic. I have been on two different strong antibiotics this week and have also required antibiotic injections. If I had waited for a surgical consult I would have been hospitalised.
Dr. Vernon and all his staff are always SO good with my kids! Today I went in with a very grumpy 5 year old and left with a happy one after everyone in his office chipped in to cheer her up. Can we talk about HONESTY for a second as well? I was told by another dentist in Stansbury that I had 9 cavities, and for someone who always takes care of her teeth I was devastated. Thankfully I didn't go back, I had two spots that needed to be watched when I went into Dr. Vernon's office. I'll never go anywhere else!
I wish I could post a before and after picture, cause the difference is amazing! Dr. Vernon is incredibly efficient. First appointment they did a cleaning and made a game plan (yesterday) and today they removed a wisdom tooth and filled two cavities. Done in 1 hour. Can't beat that! He's good at what he does and the staff is very friendly.
He and the assistants know what they are doing and they will make sure they do it right.
The second dentist was able to determine in minutes with a cold test that the tooth I had talked about appears to have a dead nerve and likely needs a root canal. Dr. Vernon should have been able to find the issue if he had simply listened to what I was saying.
I went in to see Dr. Vernon for an emergency visit on Monday I'm completely baffled at how I was treated. I clearly had a problem - half of my face was visibly swollen. I explained about ongoing issues with the tooth where the pain and swelling originated, and I also told him that the area he was exploring was not where the problem started. It was like he couldn't even hear me. He decided it was a blocked salivary gland and that I need to make an appointment to consult with a surgeon. I told him that I was concerned about infection - my face was very obviously red, hot, and swollen - but he sent me away with a business card.
